Wheaton is a selective Christian liberal arts college. Its administrators, faculty and students are committed to the idea that "All truth is God's truth." The student body comes from all fifty states and many countries. Wheaton offers 35 majors in the arts and sciences and five in its conservatory of music. The graduate school offers a master's degree in eight areas, a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and in biblical theology.
Wheaton has a number of special programs to effectively extend a student's learning beyond the classroom and campus community. These include internships, off-campus programs in Washington DC, at our Northwoods Campus in Wisconsin, and the Black Hills Science Station in South Dakota; nine study abroad programs; cooperative programs with American University, and through the Christian College Consortium, Council for Christian Colleges & Universities, Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, Illinois Institute of Technology, and Daystar University in Kenya.
Wheaton's Human Needs and Global Resources (HNGR) program allows students to spend a six-month internship in a Third World country, while the Urban Studies program offers students the opportunity to live and study in Chicago for a semester. |
